Frequently Asked Questions

  • Where will the trees be planted?

The trees will be planted on a hill farm in Central Scotland. Not only will the trees soak up carbon from the atmosphere but also they will reverse the negative trends caused by farming the land.

  • What types of trees will be planted?

All trees planted as part of this project will be native to the area of Scotland concerned. They will vary from traditional British broadleaf, through to Scots Pines. These trees will be in keeping with the area, enhancing its beauty, and at the same time providing a woodland habitat for wildlife.

  • How much Carbon Dioxide does a tree absorb?

It is estimated that one broad leaf tree will absorb approximately 730kg of carbon dioxide during its full life-time (approximately 100 years).

  • Would the trees be planted anyway?

The simple answer to this is no. In order to progress with this project we need your help - so get planting those trees!
