Congratulations to the guests of the Old Waverley Hotel whose voluntary contributions to Teaghlach Wood have resulted in 102 trees being planted so far this year (and we have not got the figures for November or December yet). Well done guys!! The Old Waverley Hotel is a great supporter of Trees4Scotloand and they operate a customer payback scheme to try to raise money to plant trees. When a customer is checking out they get the opportunity to add a pound to their bill which goes towards tree planting. So far this year this has resulted in 102 trees being planted with more to come once we get the figures from November and December! The Old Waverley now qualifies for a place on our Oak Honours board at Teaghlach Wood and that will be going up soon. General Manager Leon Kitely comments, “We would just like to thank our customers for embracing this initiative and hope to help get lots more trees planted”.
