![]() In partnership with Miss Earth (www.missearthgirls.co.uk) Trees4Scotland launched a new campaign called Girls4Trees. We set each of the finalists for the beauty pageant a challenge to get as many trees planted as possible ahead of the grand final. You may remember that last year we offset the carbon footprint of their grand final in Leamington Spa - well this year we are hoping to take things to a whole new level. The finalists are all ‘beauties with a cause' and we are helping to provide the cause. It is all very well to believe in something but it is a different thing to do something about it. As Louise Brown Powell, the organiser of the event comments, "Our aim is not only to make Miss Earth a force in raising environmental awareness but also to leave a legacy of new woodlands that have created a positive footprint" So good luck girls - get out there spreading the word and get some trees in the ground!
