To mark their 175th year the Singapore St Andrew Society planted 175 trees in Teaghlach Wood. The trees along with the Oak Status plaque on the honours board will serve to mark the occasion forever.
There is a love for Scotland that can be found in all parts of the globe and the Far East is no exception. The Singapore St Andrew Society is thriving as are events like the Asia Highland Games in Kuala Lumpar. The Singapore St Andrew Society president, Scott Mitchell, states, "We are delighted to be ambassadors for Trees4Scotland and we will ensure that all regional groups of Scots get to hear about the great work that you are doing - and more importantly plant some trees". You can find out more about the Singapore St Andrew Society on their website www.standrewssociety.org.sg
