We reported recently that Scotland needs to plant a billion trees in order to meet climate change targets set for the year 2050. The planting rates would need to be 10,000 hectares per year - eclipsing the current rate of 4,000 per year.

Angus Crabbie attended the Prince's May Day summit at Our Dynamic Earth in Edinburgh recently. The May Day Network is a group of companies committed to taking action on climate change. It provides a hub for businesses to share their experience in tackling the issue and to engage suppliers, customers and sector peers to do the same. The May Day Network is growing - with over 1300 members UK-wide, and 154 in Scotland.
